Additionally, this space is honored to operate within the Little Tokyo Historic District and Japanese American National Historic Landmark District. Located in the Union Center of the Arts, LA Artcore intends to respect and acknowledge the precarious history of the historic Little Tokyo community. The gallery strives to conserve its elaborate, decade-long history through mutually shared community involvement and support. Also, this gallery acknowledges that it operates on the native land of the Tongva tribe. LA Artcore strives to listen, learn, and amplify local and Indigenous narratives who contribute to the cultural fabric of Los Angeles by highlighting these voices in our programming, exhibitions, and community outreach.
