Sobering

In the heart of the Marais, Sobering Galerie lives and breathes painting. Founded in 2013 by Jean-Claude Ghenassia and Patricia Kishishian, and now directed by Patricia Kishishian-Ghenassia and Baptiste Léger, the gallery upholds a simple yet powerful idea: painting is a living territory – a space of energy, thought, and emotion.

First, there are the artists. Those whose work we have accompanied since their beginnings, whose impulses and visions we share. Each exhibition is an experience: the works speak to one another, confront one another, respond to one another. That is where everything begins.

And then, there are our collectors. Faithful, curious, present from one continent to another, they share our vision and believe, as we do, in a form of painting that is both sensitive and vibrant.
