Founded by Rachel Uffner in 2008 on a modest Orchard Street storefront, the gallery rebranded as Uffner & Liu in 2025 following the promotion of director Lucy Liu to partner, now occupying a two-floor, 5,000 square-foot building on Suffolk Street with three exhibition spaces, built on a reputation for supporting multi-generational artists with a strong emphasis on female-identifying voices.
