Frac Île-de-France / Le Plateu

2002 Opening of Le Plateau, an exhibition space run by the Frac Île-de-France, the result of an initiative by a residents’ association – ‘Vivre aux Buttes-Chaumont’ – chaired by artist Eric Corne, aimed at reorienting a property development programme designed for the site of the former Société Française de Production and developing a programme open to contemporary art. This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Île-de-France Regional Council.

2014 The Château de Rentilly was renovated by the Marne et Gondoire urban community and transformed by Xavier Veilhan, architects Bona-Lemercier and scenographer Alexis Bertrand. As the second venue of the Frac Île-de-France from 2014 to 2022, its programme focused on presenting its own collection as well as other guest collections, both public and private, French and foreign.
