1969 Gallery is excited to present an exhibition of works on paper by Mark Ryan Chariker. This collection of 25 works displays Chariker’s laborious practice, with pieces executed in oil, ink, charcoal, and etching, made between 2016 and 2020. Chariker’s art historical references are celebrated through reproductions of some of his favorite works by Watteau, Goya, Tiepolo and Bruegel the Elder, alongside his own meticulously conceived compositions.
