Sotheby’s is delighted to announce its September edition of Modern Discoveries in New York. With a selection of sensational works from the last 150 years, this sale unites 19th and 20th-century artistic movements, from early Impressionism to Surrealism, with highlights by Wassily Kandinsky, Jacques Lipchitz, Georges Braque, Bernard Buffet and Egon Schiele.

The exhibition for this auction will take place during the week leading up to the sale and will correspond with Sotheby’s Open House, a two-day event on September 20th and 21st which will offer a curated introduction to the world of collecting for the culturally curious through panels hosted by a variety of art world experts.
