Ludovic Nkoth

Salon 94 presents Between Lines, a new series of paintings by Ludovic Nkoth, marking his first major solo exhibition in New York City. Across the exhibition, Nkoth explores movement as both a physical and psychological experience, depicting dancers, figures in moments of interaction, and a constellation of profiles whose gestures move between performance and private experience. Drawing on ballet, performance, and the experience of migration, Between Lines considers the ways we learn to move through the world through discipline, adaptation, memory, change and what remains within the body after that movement has passed.
