The Still House Group

The Still House Group was an artist-run organization based in New York, with locations in Red Hook, Chinatown, and the South Bronx. Still House supported a network of artists, providing them with a shared environment to conceptualize, produce, and exhibit their work. Merging artist, studio, and gallery, the group was defined by its collaborative format. By promoting active dialogues amongst its artists, Still House established a critical setting for the growth of individual ideas within a collective context. Founded in 2007 as an online viewing platform, the group soon recognized a need to exercise its exhibitions practice in a physical space of its own. In 2010, Still House conducted an eight-month residency in the former Department of Transportation offices in TriBeCa, and has since built a permanent, multifaceted arts facility in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
