Opened in 1997, Derek Eller Gallery promotes emerging artists, champions under-recognized established artists, and presents alternative art-historical narratives. Located on the Lower East Side in a renovated garage space since 2016, the gallery exhibits work in painting, sculpture, photography, and installation, representing a multigenerational roster of contemporary artists. A member of both the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) and the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), the gallery works with artists including Karl Wirsum of the legendary Chicago group the Hairy Who.
