Fredericks & Freiser is pleased to present Persona, a group exhibition. Taking its name from Ingmar Bergman’s iconic film, the exhibition explores the complexities of identity as shaped by the presence of "the other." Featuring a roster of emerging and established artists, Persona considers how selfhood is formed, fragmented, and reimagined through relational dynamics, societal roles, and the psychology of difference.

The artists in Persona navigate the fluid boundaries between self and other, individuality and collectivity. Spanning figuration, abstraction, and conceptual practices, the exhibition examines the enacted aspects of identity, the psychology of difference, and the tension between authenticity and artifice. Intimacy, alienation, and interconnectedness surface throughout the works, inviting viewers to reflect on the evolving and often slippery boundaries of selfhood in an increasingly hyper-connected world.
