Bar Idioto
Dec 13, 2019 – Feb 2, 2020
It is with pleasure and a bit of fanfare that Bosko and John announce the opening of Bar Idioto.
Looking in the still waters of all past time, I can say for certain we are small bits richer, meaner, and older. This is the petty confession of minor success and perhaps it's time to simply be ourselves.
When I abandoned my studies to live on illusions was I the disappointment of my parents and relatives? Was I one of those dreamy teens who won’t take advice, giving answers between their teeth?
But markets grow tired waiting on a conditioned future. For someone who makes it, how many are the failures? Those who knew used to whisper: you have a kind soul, I am sorry, you just won't work...
It doesn't matter if we cry and if we suffer, life makes everything its own way. Time teaches that as far as life is concerned there's a common need for love.
Who knows truth in this nest of beggars and snakes? But you can't sing a bitter tune with these patrons. We are all conformists dressed to be rebels. We are the grinder and the lamb. Innocents who write pain in letters and whose simple religion is belief.
Upon waking to their ghosts dancing in the ceiling with great liberty you scream: I renounce this being a fake, a self-appointed prophet of this fan club. I don't care to teach you about life because everyone learns it alone.
We leave to no sadness, we owe and are owed nothing. I am done playing that mad man mumbling in his cell about the living’s need for love.
Enough!!!
There are other faces to discover and our hearts are more real than any face worn. I cease with these tales of despair and fleeting delight. My dearest enemy playing the spirit we have indeed opened a bar!
Located at 77 Madison street in up-and-coming Two Bridges, bar idioto will offer an extensive selection of natural wines, booze and traditional cocktails in a backdrop of casual elegance for the desperate and romantically inclined. The interior features a leather-clad bar, glass chandeliers and tables that resemble giant water droplets, punctuated by a massive disco ball salvaged from the notorious 1980s L.A. nightclub Vertigo. Please join us on Friday, December 13th at 6pm to share and celebrate this momentous occasion.
Space is limited. RSVP for guest list.
